Terms of Service

PITSTOP is a marketplace where FRC, FTC and FLL robotics teams buy, sell and swap parts. By creating an account or using the PITSTOP app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use PITSTOP.

PITSTOP is intended for members and mentors of FIRST robotics teams. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use PITSTOP with the involvement of a parent, guardian or team mentor.

You're responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your account secure. Provide accurate details, and don't impersonate another person or team.

You can delete your account at any time under Settings → Privacy → Delete Account.

You keep ownership of the photos, text and other content you post. By posting it, you grant PITSTOP a non-exclusive licence to host and display that content so the app can function — for example, showing your listing to other users and delivering your messages.

You are responsible for your content and listings. Only post parts you have the right to sell or swap, describe them accurately, and set honest prices.

PITSTOP is a venue that connects teams — it is not a party to the transactions between users. We don't process payments, ship items, or guarantee any listing, buyer or seller. Arrangements for payment, pickup and shipping are made directly between users.

Trade responsibly: meet in safe locations, confirm condition before paying, and use your own judgement. PITSTOP isn't responsible for the quality, safety, legality or delivery of items listed.

Don't use PITSTOP to:

• post illegal, stolen, counterfeit, dangerous or recalled items;
• harass, threaten, scam or deceive other users;
• post spam, sexual, hateful or otherwise inappropriate content;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
• break the law or attempt to disrupt or abuse the service.

Every listing, chat and profile can be reported in-app, and users can be blocked. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

You can stop using PITSTOP and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that create risk for other users or the service.

PITSTOP is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any transaction between users will be successful.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PITSTOP and its team are not liable for any indirect or incidental damages, or for disputes, losses or damages arising from transactions between users.

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update this page and note the new effective date above. Continuing to use PITSTOP after changes means you accept them.
