Privacy Policy

Account information. When you create an account — with email, Google or Apple sign-in — we store your email address, name, username, avatar and optional team details (team number, school, city, country).

Content you post. Listings (photos, titles, descriptions, prices), chat messages you send to other users, offers and reviews. Listing and chat photos are stored with Cloudflare Images.

Approximate location. If you grant location permission, we use your approximate location to show listings near you and to attach a general area to your listings. We never collect precise background location, and the app works without location access.

Device & diagnostics. Crash reports and basic device information (via Sentry) so we can fix bugs, and a push notification token if you enable notifications.

We do not sell your personal data.

We do not show third-party ads, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. PITSTOP does not use the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA).

To run the marketplace: showing your listings and profile to other users, delivering messages and offers, sending notifications you opted into, surfacing nearby listings, preventing fraud and abuse, and fixing crashes.

Because PITSTOP is a marketplace, some information is visible to other users by design: your username, avatar, team details, listings and reviews are public; chat messages are visible to the person you message.

We use a small set of service providers to operate PITSTOP:

• Supabase — database, authentication and realtime messaging
• Cloudflare Images — listing and chat photo storage
• Vercel — API and website hosting
• Sentry — crash reporting
• Expo — push notification delivery
• Google / Apple — optional sign-in providers

These providers process data only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if required by law.

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. This removes your personal details from your profile, deactivates your listings and signs you out; remaining account records are then permanently removed from our systems.

You can also email us at support@frcpitstop.com to request deletion or a copy of your data.

PITSTOP is built for FIRST robotics team members. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and note the new effective date above.
